The last day of May!

The drake is now from above Ingleby all the way down the below Cherry Run! Coffin flies down lower and duns still up here. Also, every other hatch known to man is also going on!

The bridge from Millheim to Coburn is closed!!!

The proper detour if you’re coming from the State College is to take Paradise Rd. off of Route 45. Proceed 2 miles to the stop sign at Penns Creek Rd. Then turn left onto Penns Creek Rd. and go 2 miles to the stop sign in Coburn. If you go left, we are on the left.

The proper detour if you are coming from the east is to take Pine Creek road in Woodward. Take Pine Creek road for 6 miles to the stop sign. Go left into Coburn.

The proper detour if you are coming from the north is to come to the light in Millheim. Then go right onto route 45 for 2 miles and then go left onto paradise road and follow the directions as above from State College.

Doing whatever it takes….

The 30th of May!

Nothing has changed since yesterday except the DRAKE is stretched from Weikert to above Poe Paddy state park. The weather is very hot so please use sun screen and drink a lot of water.

29 O’ May

Holy crap! It is SO ON! Ridiculousness! The Drake is real heavy down between Weikert and Cherry Run. Today I expect it to get up into the No-Kill. Maybe all the way to Poe Paddy because of the heat.
The Outcast Guides were above Weikert yesterday and had: Green Drakes, slate drakes, The Big Blue Wing Olives, Cahills, March Browns, Sulphurs, Tan Caddis, Blue Quills and Cranes.
We had all the same stuff in Coburn, but the Drakes are only heavy above the Elk/Pine junction.
The heat will accelerate the hatches and push the bug activity later into the evening if it is sunny.
The water looks perfect!

Shout out to Mitch. Seems like a shower attracted the bugs this time!
