Hope you survived the summer. It was a hot and dry one aound here. We saw very little rain which made fish catching considerably more difficult as the water levels dropped and the water temperatures rose. Thankfully seasons change. Things have been picking back up around Coburn as the air and water temps have begun to subside. Penns Creek is still running super low and clear. Anglers have reported some increased fish activity on top. Blue Winged Olives, Isonychia, and October Caddis are all likely to bring fish up from the bottom. Mornings and evenings are still seeing the best fishing. The fly shop remains open 7 days a week.
Mark your calendars

Congratulations to our boy Mitch who harvested this beautiful 7×7 Montana Bull on a day off from guiding at Upper Canyon Outfitters.
Mitchy was able to close the distance and seal the deal in his Sitka Gear.
The Big blue wing olive is one of my favorite fishing hatches of the year….and this year is no exception! The fish have risen so freely to the duns and spinners this year. I think the over abundance of food and warming water temps during the Green Drake drives the trouts metabolism through the roof and they hit the feed bag hard!
Hatches: sulphurs and blue quills and blue wing olives and crane flies and little tan caddis and the Slate drakes and cahills.
Thanks Jill and Clayton for the crawfish boil!
The hatches are: sulphurs and blue quills and blue wing olives (big and small)and crane flies and little tan caddis and the Slate drakes and the cahills!
See you soon!
We have some green drake duns coming off in the mornings and lots of Coffin flies late in the evening.
The Coffin flies have been starting to hit the water around 10 pm because of the heat!
DONT LEAVE EARLY!
You go girl!
Simply amazing! The hot weather has driven all the spinner falls and most of the rising fish activities late into the darkness. 10 pm has been the hot time so bring a sandwich and some patience!
Hatches: GREEN DRAKES and March Browns and sulphurs and blue quills and blue wing olives and crane flies and little tan caddis and the beginning of the Slate drakes and………woo-hoo!
Great fish Adam!
