Well…the water is in the best shape it has been in weeks. Still high but not too high. The color is fabulous. The hatches are going strong and the fish have been feeding the surface!
Who knows what the future holds but we will enjoy it today and hope you get to as well!
We have been enjoying some beautiful March weather as we get back on the water. Bwo, Early Black Stoneflies and Midges are what’s happening. Keep your eyes peeled for Hendricksons, they could start any day now.
The fishing is always great and the catching has been good. Bwo nymph, stoneflies, zebra midge and sucker spawn have been reliable patterns.
Streamer fishing has also been productive. Blacks and olives are never a bad choice.
The shop is fully stocked and ready for spring including some new fly patterns, new rods and new reels! Shop is open 9am-5pm, everyday.
Call the shop to book your guided trip with The Feathered Hook Guide Service. We still have availability most days through the spring.
Hard to believe it’s already October! Summer has flown by. Local waters are in great shape, with flows running above recent years low fall levels.
Lots of surface bug activity. October Caddis, Slate Drakes, Bwos, Caddis, and Cranefly to name a few!
The last week of dreary weather had fish looking up with consistency. Fall foliage is just kicking in. The mountains should be lit up in Mid to late October. Don’t forget your green weenies! (If you do we have em at the shop)
Guided trips are rolling in with big smiles. Plenty of guide availability through the fall. Call the shop to line up your trip.
